Reply with quote | #2 | I hate those hands, really there is nothing you can do because you want the call from QQ there. With one card to come you are a huge favorite, something like 96%.
I was in a pretty good sized tournament once. On the bubble with 4 players top 3 get paid.
I got dealt 77 and called a raise, flop was JJ7 and I get it all in against KK. The river was a third J and counterfitted my three 7's and made his KK good again.
Like I said, there's nothing you can really do. You get the call and the guy catches. Those are the spots you want to get your money in, it just doesn't always work out. __________________ I've done everything I've ever wanted to do, except win a million dollars

Reply with quote | #3 | i played one about a month ago with less than 20 peeps left. i held aces preflop and limped in hoping for a big hit. an ace comes on flop and slow playing is working because he's betting his own set of 7's. turn is nothing for either of us and i come over the top of his raise, all in and he calls. i'm crippled to almost nothing by a one outer (quad 7's) after getting all my money in with a set of aces. i'm gone the next hand and fuming.
