OUTCOME
With the blinds at $1,500 and $3,000 and a $400 ante, Hansen raised to $9,300 from late position, Duthie called from the small blind. On the flop, Duthie checked, Hansen checked. On the turn, Duthie checked, Hansen bet $11,000, Duthie called. On the river, Duthie checked, Hansen bet $16,800, Duthie folded.
ANALYSIS
Duthie speculated with his low suited connectors from the small blind against his aggressive opponent. Hansen bet his double belly buster straight draw on the turn after it was checked to him twice, but Duthie picked up a backdoor-flush draw. Duthie was getting better than 3-1 odds for a call, so he decided to go fishing on the river. Hansen bet the river, a curious play, since he did not have the ace. The third spade was also a make card for the flush.
